I think this was the year of the hats at the courtyard from the photos we see here! Even the Santa hat make an appearance whilst doing the job of ensuring we had manure and compost prepared into the beds.
Our volunteers made an excellent job of clearing the courtyard of weeds as we began to measure up where the new raised beds would go. Our Inspira volunteers supported the service users to plant up the beds with delicate seeds such as leeks and brussels.
The courtyard has really started to take shape, we have enquiries from staff about the project and an interest from the hospital trust about how we potentially can work together in the future. Some of the young people are learning new skills and how to safely use equipment such as the leaf blowers and litter pickers.
